MUPolo plan on entering a total of six teams in the 2012 Victorian Water Polo Winter Competition (depending on player numbers). These include two Women’s team in the State League 2 and State League 3 competition, and four Men’s teams in the State League 2, State League 3, and State League 4 Competitions.
All matches take place at either the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (Albert Park) or at South Yarra Sport Centre (South Yarra). The Women’s teams play on either Tuesday or Thursday evenings between 6:30pm and 9:30pm. The Men’s State League 2 team play on Wednesday evenings between 6:30pm and 9:30pm, whilst the Men’s State League3 and State League 4 team play on Thursday evenings between 6:30pm and 9:30pm. The costs involved in playing in the Victorian Water Polo Competitions vary each season however below an approximated list of the costs involved in playing for MUPolo:
- A Victorian Water Polo Inc registration fee of approximately $160 – $180 is payable to VicPolo by all players. This covers player registration for two seasons (Winter and Summer), as well as player insurance during the game.
- Match fees of approximately $120 – $160 per season are also payable to VicPolo.
In summary, it is approximately $280 – $$340 for your first season, then $120 – $160 for you second season, making the total cost for the year approximately $400 – $500 (not including MUPolo registration and training fee). For more accurate details on the costs involved please ask a committee member at training. Entry to MSAC is free each night of competition for competitors and spectators (finals may charge a small fee for spectators).
